How is the programme different/ What are the key components of the programme?
The programme will take into account the need to address the needs of the maturing athlete and will be bespoke to their level of current fitness and athletic goals:
Strength, Power, Athletic performance (plyometrics, speed), Mobility and flexibility, Cardiovascular capacity, Recovery, Joint longevity & Posture,Nutrition, Periodisation of training
Drawing on principles taken from world renowned fitness professionals such as Dane Miller (Garage Strength), Marcus Filly, Ben Patrick (ATG), Obi Vincent, Shae Pierre, Phil Daru, and Jake Hutton/Steve Cook (fitness culture) this is a comprehensive pricinple based guide to regaining the physique and athletic performance you want.
Example training schedules:
Programme schedule- 3 month programme based on ¾ sessions per week
The beginners weekly program will be split into 3 categories.
Strength and mobility training, working on muscular endurance and early introduction into strength work and key compound lifts with appropriate mobility accessory movements to ensure safety
Cardio and core training this will cover key joint stability and strengthening movements coupled with key movement patterns in aerobically challenging sessions
Power and athletic training (this will include explosive body weight and sprint exercises with 5-10 second recovery periods, to improve the cardiovascular system and lower body fat percentage) Simple movements and low level plyo introductions
Intermediate programme
Strength and mobility progression with use of supersets, giant sets and movement pattern coupling (hinge series, vertical press series)
Athletic Speed and Power basics- intro to olympic lifting amd plyo progression with sprint drills
Cardio progression and intro to metabolic systems training- anaerobic movements, works capacity training and endurance
Advanced programme
Strength and Hypertrophy with advanced compound and isolation movements, with use of all set structures (supersets, giant sets, force sets)
Athletic performance and key performance targeting- Contrast training, and reflexive training with high level plyometrics and sprinting
Metabolic training and conditioning- Targeting work output goals (zone 4-5 for metabolic strain vs zone 2 steady state cardio), movement pattern paired metabolic workouts
Advanced mobility and movement patterns- application and mastery of ATG principles and movement standards with strength acquisition at end ranges of movement.
The programme will be delivered by an AI training app that will compose a bespoke programme for the client using the fitness principles above. Exercises will be drawn from the fitness experts above to create comprehensive programme that delivers foundational fitness and mobility upon which athletic attributes can be built. Our clients will look the way they have always wanted to but more importantly develop physiques that will protect them and provide longevity of safe, strong pain free movement and athleticism.
